Description:
The following project is an e-commerce site for a brand that produces and sells LED lighting.
Problem:
laserandled brand sells a big amount of LED lights to foreign clients. The brand wants to launch an online store to help foreign clients to order products.
Understand and Empathize
User research was the starting point to answer these questions:
Who are my real users? What activities are they performing?
Is there any problem they are having performing these activities?
What is their interaction with the product of the industry?
What are the decisions they are making to get what they want?
During the research process, I interviewed 8 potential customers. These customers were Industrial designers. Their primary job is to convert empty spaces into usable and delightful spaces. One of the central considerations to design these spaces is lighting.

To find a user-centered solution, I gathered all my findings into a PERSONA. Having a persona helped me understanding their goals, frustrations, and motivations. Let me introduce you to Carlos:
Jobs to be done
l illustrated every step that Carlos he has to take to accomplish the task of acquire the right product to meet his client's needs in a Journey Map. This Journey Map show me the different steps that Carlos would have to take to accomplish this task and also find the most important touch points with the e-commerce site.
Problem Statement
Scenario: Let's imagine that Carlos has a new project for a school and he is looking to subtly light up a space. He thinks that a dimmable LED strip- 27 watts will be a good choice.
How can we help Carlos find the accurate products he needs for his projects?
Solution Statement
Provide information that will help Carlos to choose the right product by providing him an easy navigation through categories and products.
Information architecture with UCD
I did card sorting with the users to group the products into categories and define filters that would make products easier to find.
Ideation and strategic solutions
At this point, I ideate, test and iterate different concepts and after talking with users. I decided that these features would help users like Carlos to find the best product for his projects. And also helping him to deliver these products to his clients in time and quality he needs by designing an efficient checkout.

Prototype
Final prototype that shows the happy path of Carlos acquiring a dimmable LED strip with 27 watts in a warm white color.
